NEW “AURORA BOREALIS” PATTERNCoatings by Sandberg has created a new tooling that produces an Aurora Borelais effect on the coated surface of the glass. A typical 19” dia. sheet displays the colorful Dichroic Color in the form of a rolling cloud or fumes of colors throughout the sheet. The Aurora Borealis Pattern is available in any solid color that CBS offers. When the tool is used with our reds, the Dichroic coated sheet resembles fire. When used with Green/Magenta blue, the effect is clouds of reflected Magentas and Coppers. |

96 FRIT NOW AVAILABLEIn addition to our complete line of 90 COE Frit, Coatings By Sandberg now offers its full pallet of colors on 96 COE Frit (Available on clear or black glass). Each 2 oz. Tube of Uroboros Coarse Frit is available for $25 Dollars. After extensive research CBS has designed a proprietary process that allows the frit to be coated on approximately 80 Percent of the surface area of the glass. The ratio of glass to Dichroic Coating is unmatched by any other product available on the market today. Due to this high ratio of Coating versus Glass, the Dichroic Frit responds very differently under heating/hotworking conditions,… a must try for artists looking for a fresh and different look to their work. |
NEW SPLINTER RAINBOW - “WE HAVE NEEDLES”Due to the overwhelming demand from our Lampworkers and Glass Blowers, Coatings By Sandberg has produced a sheet that breaks up in “Needles” when stretched. When heat is applied, the coating “Splinters” in one particular direction. This creates a grain to the surface that when pulled, stretched, or twisted, creates large splinters of color. This is a popular technique that originated with the Borosilicate market. Even though the coating was made for Borosilicate, CBS will apply this coating to any glass type you like. Quotes from several of our top customers say that the new coating is the heaviest and most durable coating yet. The sheet is sold as a premium pattern color and will be called: “Splinter Rainbow”. |

PRE-FIRED MORETTI STRIPSCoatings By Sandberg now offers Clear Moretti strips that have been pre-fired and tubed for your convenience. There are 4 strips per tube and each strip measures approximately 3/8 X 16 inches (Thickness varies). The strips will initially be offered only in Rainbow 1 or Rainbow 2 colors.
